3338 - Infrastructure Project Manager

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Develop project management standards, ensure project management procedures are followed, and completing project documents
  • Oversee, coordinate, and monitor IT projects ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and as planned
  • Prepare formal written technical content for the creation, development, implementation, and management of projects
  • Deliver well-organized briefings or presentations on all aspects of a project to clients and management officials
  • Analyze technical and business processes in assigned areas of responsibility, identifying opportunities for improvement, generating and evaluating alternatives, and making recommendations to management
  • Versed in the use of project management tools such as MS Project to identify timelines, milestones, and critical paths

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working projects in technical IT large scale data center operations environments, such as mass data storage (HP, Hitachi, EMC, etc.), event monitoring and management, library-based backups (HP, Quantum, IBM, etc.), and large blade server implementations (HP, Dell, Cisco, etc.)
  • Experience managing large scale VMware upgrades (vCenter, vSphere, NSX) spanning multiple data centers
  • Possess a solid understanding of highly technical data center environments and equipment, be able to communicate and work with IT professionals doing systems engineering and administration in these environments
  • Enjoys a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to work and interact with others in a structured / team environment
  • Must possess IT data center technical project management experience with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple technical disciplines
  • Must have organizational skills - Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
  • Independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills
  • Requires limited supervision: Self-motivated; Self-starter; Time management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate to nontechnical audience on technical issues and communicate on a technical level to a technical audience
