OVERVIEW:
The Solutions Engineer provides services directed at the implementation, maintenance, and advancement of enterprise GIS for Geospatial Cloud Services projects.
GENERAL DUTIES:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Familiarity with setting up and deploying cloud environments per a design specification
- Ability to effectively manage both on-premise and cloud environments
- Experience with installation and administration of RDBMS (SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle, etc.)
- Aptitude for troubleshooting system and solution errors and support end users
- Experience writing technical recommendations, standard operating procedures, administrative and help documents for clients, technical teams, and end users
- Comfort assessing existing GIS environments and recommend areas for improvements in areas such as technology adoption, system performance, and software migration plans
- Experience training users on the utilization and adoption of GIS technologies
- Minimum of BA/BS degree in geography, science, engineering, business, or another related field*
- 2+ years of experience of enterprise-level GIS technology experience**
- Demonstrated capability in enterprise level server technology deployment
- Demonstrated knowledge of systems and/or applications administration
- Data and application development and deployment methodologies

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge or experience in geospatial or technology-related industry
- Proficient with Windows and Unix (Linux) Server OS technology
