3569 - Configuration Manager

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Manages the CMDB to assist with tracking the design, deployment, and maintenance of the IT program and systems architecture.
  • Manages change requests, convenes and runs the Change Management Board (CMB) and Engineering Review Board (ERB) meetings, oversees procurement of equipment, manages all assets, and schedules releases.
  • As part of the asset management responsibilities, tracks hardware inventory and software licenses, their End of Life, and renewal dates.
  • Supports the SCRUM Master in prioritizing the tasking.
  • Administers/maintains Configuration Management data repository (CMDB) to support program needs and ensures integrity/operational performance of CMDB.
  • Creates/manages program CI baselines & prepares/inspects deployment baseline packages.
  • Maintains the configuration management processes and procedures within the Change Management Plan to support both internal and external configuration management.
  • Oversees Configuration Change Management (CM) maintaining the integrity and traceability of configuration items throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Creates and processes Change Requests (CRs) within the AGILE team structure.
  • Facilitates and coordinates the internal configuration management board meetings.
  • Identifies and maintains the configuration of program artifacts.
  • Works independently and defines and implements configuration management processes and procedures.
  • Develops version control processes, policies and procedures, and ensures they are followed on data center operations, support, and system integration projects.
  • Is the contract’s Removable Media Custodian, tracking new and used removable media and preparing required reports.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experienced in change management, asset management, and functional and physical configuration management.
  • Experience with Configuration Management Tools.
  • Familiarity with AGILE development methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or additional relevant experience in lieu of BS degree, or Masters with 2-6 of prior relevant experience.

  • CCNA-Security

  • GICSP
  • GSEC
  • CND
  • SSCP

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • DoD or Intelligence Community service
  • Experience working with Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)
  • Experience installing, managing, and updating applications and services hosted on Linux servers
  • Experience working with cross domain solutions
  • ITIL experience
  • TS/SCI (crossover eligible) with CI Poly
  • Security+ CE (preferred)
