OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Lead Senior Engineer to join our team and support our mission critical customer in Reston, VA. As our Lead Senior Engineer, you will guide and enhance the enterprise services experience for our client. You deliver and guide engineering activities to provide a comprehensive end-to-end integration and enhancements. You will support the interface between Program Management and the Customer Program Office within a functional area.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Manages and leads the enterprise tools (Elastic, Jupytier, etc.) and data transfer hub engineering activities to enhance, maintain, and support client systems
- Trains and supervises personnel in delivery of engineering services
- Collaborates on innovations and enhancements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience related to specific functional area.
- Certifications: currently hold, or be able to attain certification in the following:
- Currently hold CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
- CSSP Infrastructure Support (Cloud+, CEH, CySA+, or equivalent certification).
- Extensive experience deploying tools and capabilities in support of intelligence community customers
- Experience leading an Agile environment
- Full stack experience with modern application development including backend development, modern UI frameworks, relational databases, microservices, containers, and developing applications for big data platforms.
- Expertise in one more relevant back end data technologies supporting data lakes
- Expertise in cloud environments (AWS and Linux/CentOS); development and deployment
- Expertise in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, PHP, Javascript)
- Experience in requirements traceability, documenting technical architectures, and managing the deployment of new capabilities · Experience with agile software development tools including Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins
- Understanding of big data, data ingest flow, reducing latency, and delivering new analytics to support mission need
- Excellent communication skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience performing development support of intelligence community customer
- Experience refining metric collection and reporting for senior leadership
- Has a desire to continuously learn and improve new technologies / capabilities
- Technical management experience (supervisor, performance reviews, technical career path development)
- Cyber Security experience
- Azure experience
- Experience generating product through a DevOps/DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
